To the highest peak of Slovenia in winter conditions

The winter ascent to Triglav is completely different from the summer one. Lonely, original just like in the days of the first conquerers, pristine and fantastic. Thus, the ascent to Triglav in winter is already a real climbing ascent over snow slopes and a sharp ridge.

Advanced reservation is required.

The easiest winter ascent to Triglav (2864 m) is from the Krma valley. However, it is necessary to overcome about 1900 altitude meters, but of this we are 350 altitude meters of secured climbing path, which is covered with snow in winter. As winter days are short, accesses from the valley are longer than in summer (the road to the Krma valley does not plow) we recommend a two-day ascent.

DURATION

DAY 1: Krma (980 m) - Kredarica cottage (2515 m); 7 - 10 h walk (depending on the plowed road) and 1500 m.

DAY 2: Kredarica cottage (2515 m) - the top of Triglav (2864 m) and back to the Krma valley (980 m); 3 - 4 h and 350 m from home to the top and back and another 5 - 7 h walk back to the valley.

One-day ascent: recommended only if you are physically fit. On the scale of your ability from 1 to 5 you must reach 5. The ascent takes 13 to 17 hours (depending on the plowed road to the Krma Valley). It is necessary to overcome 1900 m. It can be done in from March on.

Two-day ascent: (our recommendation), because you will be able to enjoy the ascent immensely and because you will have enough time to observe the surroundings, rest and more.

The ascent itself requires winter equipment such as crampons, ice axe hikes (over 50 cm long) and an avalanche safety set (avalanche beacon, probe and shovel). You will receive other technical equipment, such as a climbing harness, helmet and, if necessary, a via ferrata system, at Triglav cottage. If you do not have winter equipment, we will rent it to you for free.

The guide tour is intended for adults and children from the age of 15. The guided tour starts by appointment, and with our transport we pick you up in front of your room, apartment or hotel. We take care of all the necessary technical equipment.
