Two attractive via ferratas with beautiful views of the Vipava Valley
Above the Vipava Valley the rocky hill Gradiška tura (739 m) rises, where two scenic ferratas are located - the Furlan Trail and the Otmar Trail. Both of them are just waiting for us to come climb them. The ferratas are interconnected and offer us climbing from an easier to a more demanding stage.

The first via ferrata, called the FURLAN'S ROUTE, was set as far back as 1969 and is generally one of the first via ferratas in our country. It was set on the initiative of Otmar Černilogar, in memory of Fritz Furlan, who died in an accident on the Gradiška tura wall. The climbing part of the Furlan via ferrata is 145 meters high, and the difficulty rating is B. Despite the B rating, it should not be underestimated, as it is on the breeze. When we climb to the top of Trikot, we descend for 50 meters to reach the next Otmar ferrata.
The second via ferrata, called the OTMAR'S ROUTE, is named after the gentleman who initiated the construction of the Fulan via ferrata. The beginning is the most difficult and the first 50 meters are slightly overhanging and in crosswise and vertical. You need enough physical strength and technique for this via ferrata. It has a height difference of 235 m and is rated with difficulty C. At the top we have a beautiful view of the Vipava Valley.
A guided tour can be done in different combinations, either just one or the other or a combination of both.
For the via ferrata, we recommend a basic self-protection set - a helmet, a climbing harness and a self-protection system. If you do not have your own equipment, you can also rent it from our agency.
The guidance is intended for adults and children from the age of 12. The guided tour starts by appointment, and with our transport we will pick you up in front of your room, apartment or hotel. We take care of all the necessary technical equipment.

Equipment
Your own equipment: suitable for the season sports - mountaineering clothing (suitable long mountaineering trousers, at least three layers of clothing, wind jacket, spare cap and gloves), low or high trekking shoes with profiled sole, ferrata gloves (or ordinary work), backpack drinks and food and other equipment needed for safe movement in the highlands (pocket knife, first aid, sunglasses, sunscreen, ...).
Technical equipment: self-protection system, climbing harness, helmet, via ferrata gloves (in case you do not have your own, we provide them).
We take care of all the technical equipment. Rental of technical equipment is included in the price.
